Myrtos is one of the most dramatic beaches in Kafalonia Greece, cut into a sheer cliff on the northwest coast. The mine explosion in the film Captain Corelli’s Mandolin was shot here, but despite the beautiful white beach the only activity allowed is swimming, making it a safe place for children to holiday as they cannot be mown down by jet skis.
